Medical Cannabis Laws:
The Compassionate Use Act (Prop.215)
In 1996, California voters put into law The Compassionate Use Act, Propostion 215 [California H&S Code 113652.5], which amended state law to allow leal access to cannabis when recommended or approved by a physician. Patients may cultivate [H&S 11357] Cannabis for the personal medical use of the patient.
